SOURCES + METHODOLOGY

THE HOOK CAN BE BOLD. THE FACTS STILL HAVE TO HOLD UP.

We use research to challenge assumptions, not to manufacture guarantees. Individual insurance prices, eligibility, benefits and outcomes always depend on the actual applicant, carrier, policy and jurisdiction.

10–12× cost misconception

LIMRA reported in 2025 that healthy adults ages 18–30 overestimated the cost of a typical $250,000, 20-year level-term policy by roughly 10–12 times. We use this as a misconception challenge—not as a quote.

AI research interest

LIMRA has reported that many younger consumers are open to using AI in life-insurance research. The website therefore uses AI as an educational and organizational layer, while product-specific recommendations stay with licensed professionals.

Licensing boundaries

California, Nevada and other jurisdictions maintain their own licensing and solicitation rules. An appropriately licensed professional must verify state, product and carrier availability before product-specific advice or solicitation. The current website does not independently confirm live producer appointments.

What the Protection Intelligence Method does

The online check asks broad non-medical questions, organizes them into an educational snapshot and identifies topics that may need licensed review. The preliminary output is not an underwriting, eligibility or product-suitability decision.

Privacy-first intake

The first-stage Protection Check intentionally avoids Social Security numbers, bank credentials, detailed account balances and medical-history collection. More sensitive information belongs only in appropriate secure workflows when genuinely needed.

Optimization methodology

Hook and experience variants are measured through scan start, completion, qualified inquiry, appointment, application and ultimately issued-policy outcomes. AI may recommend a challenger, but regulated claims and production changes require review before publishing.

EDITORIAL STANDARDS · OCTOBER 12, 2026

How we prepare, check and correct educational content.

Our publicly available articles are written and organized by My Protection Check using AI-assisted research and human editorial selection. We identify sources and distinguish general facts from insurance decisions that require individual, appropriately licensed professional judgment. We do not claim a named producer reviewed an article unless that review is actually recorded.

Our research priorities are publicly available primary references, including state insurance departments and NAIC consumer guidance. We review factual accuracy, missing qualifications, changes in official guidance and broken links before revisions. Publication dates identify our content release—not a claim that the cited agency reviewed or endorsed it.

We do not buy or invent reviews, fabricate clients or results, generate false professional endorsements, or guarantee placement in Google or ChatGPT. We do not treat AI-generated explanations as authoritative policy terms.

For a factual correction, source concern or accessibility issue, email info@myprotectioncheck.com with the page and proposed correction. We will evaluate corrections against primary documentation. For privacy requests, use the privacy notice and its request process.
